Yoga Etiquette |
|
| |
-
Please no cell phones. Emergency pagers only if necessary.
-
Please use the restroom before class; try not to disrupt the lesson
by leaving the yoga room if possible.
-
Please arrive on time – preferably 10 minutes early to class. If you
are late to class, please enter quietly with respect for other students.
Don't worry about finding a place, your instructor will help you.
-
Once situated, please refrain from loud and/or any conversation.
Please use the time before class to prepare yourself for your practice.
-
Be generous with your space and move your mat to accommodate other
students. Try not to step on others' mats while setting up.
-
Out of respect for the practice space, students must take their shoes
off before entering the studios. Place shoes under the benches out of
the hallway traffic.
-
If you sweat, please clean up your area after class with spray soap
and a towel.
-
Unlimited water and towels are provided; however, please ask your
instructor for additional water if needed and do not disrupt the lesson
to get more on your own.
-
Please make an effort not to leave class early; if it is a necessity
please inform your instructor and leave as quietly as possible.
-
There is no competition in yoga. One of the principles of yoga is
not to seek the fruit of actions - practice for its own sake, without
regard to success or failure.
